About Danville Family Dentistry
The Three Pillars of Our Practice Philosophy
Dr. Jon Erickson
I was born in Madison, WI. My dad went to UW Madison for grad school so I had no choice… I am a big Badger fan (sorry all of you Hoosier and Boiler fans, but my heart belongs to Bucky!). When I was 5 years old we moved to Batavia, IL, which is about 40 miles west of Chicago. I graduated from Millikin University (Decatur, IL) and met my beautiful wife while I was there. I came to Indianapolis for dental school and lived in Greenwood and Pike township while in school. I graduated in 1999 and worked in the Speedway area during my “rookie” years. I slowly began to shape and form my practice philosophies and understand what I really wanted my dental office to be like. I was always frustrated as a patient when I would go into a medical office, I would walk out, and not really understanding a diagnosis or why treatment was suggested. This concern is the root of our first practice philosophy pillar. I also realized that when a group of people are assembled for a reason (in our case to provide dental service), they are only as good as the worst person in the group. That is why my teammates are so important to me. You can read my personal thoughts on each individual below.
Our family moved to Hendricks County in 2000 and we love it here. I belong to Kingsway Christian Church and am involved in many areas of ministry there. My wife, Jennifer, has blessed me with two wonderful children, Courtney and Preston. I have always been a huge soccer fan, but don’t ask me to do too many drills anymore – I’m not as young and in shape as I used to be. That’s me in a nutshell… I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Natalie – Patient Care Coordinator
Natalie is so much fun! She is easy to talk to and very easy going. She is one of those few people who know how to be casual, yet professional at the same time. She is the perfect fit for us and I am so happy to have Natalie as the face and voice of Danville Family Dentistry. Her job is to be like our quarterback, directing the team to victory; which is to make sure that we are providing exceptional dental experience. Her positive energy and willingness to go above and beyond will make you feel right at home. It is difficult to put into words how much she impacts our office experience…you’ll just have to come and experience Natalie for yourself! Here she is to tell you a little bit more about herself…
I was born and raised in Danville, Indiana where I currently reside with my wonderful husband and my two AMAZING boys, Carter and Everett! I have a HUGE family. I am one of seven kids, (I’m totally the good looking one), and I love every single one of them! Family is the most important thing in my life. I am a retired Professional Ballroom Dancer of 15 years, and people are my “THING”! I love meeting new people and hearing about their lives! (You are so interesting!) I want to do my best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I am blessed to have become a part of the family at Danville Family Dentistry! Dr. Erickson and the team are so compassionate and truly care about your needs. Being a performer, I know how good it feels to have a great smile, and I look forward to seeing yours! I’m just living the dream at Danville Family Dentistry: solving the world’s problems… one smile at a time!
Cody – Dental Assistant
Cody is my right, and sometimes even my left, hand. She is an exceptional assistant with a lot of experience in varying capacities. She has worked in a wide array of office settings and so her knowledge base and clinical skills are hard to beat. She will help me make sure that your experience in our office is exceptional. In order to be a great dentist, they need an assistant that exceeds expectations each and every time. Cody is that assistant for me. We are very blessed to have her on our team. Here is Cody to let you know a little more
I grew up in Hazelwood, Indiana. I moved to Coatsville in 2000 with my wonderful husband. We have three children Brayden, Alexis, and Rylan. My family enjoys being outdoors fishing, hunting, and most sports (my favorite is baseball). I finished dental assisting school in 2000. I have worked in many different dental specialties: Orthodontics for 8 years, Oral Surgery for 5 years, and for the past one and a half years I have been at Riley Hospital in the Pediatric Dental Clinic as an expanded duties dental assistant. Now I am apart of my new family here at Danville Family Dentistry. I enjoy meeting new people and look forward to meeting and caring for you.
Teresa – Hygienist
All I can say is you have to experience Teresa for yourself. Her energy and personality are a breath of fresh air. Teresa and I have worked together since 2001. Her clinical skills and knowledge are outstanding. I cannot tell you how many times patients have told me, “That was the best and gentlest cleaning I have ever had!” I have seen plenty of hygienists that clean every tooth very well, but the patient is walking away holding their jaw in pain. I have also seen the other end of the spectrum where the patient says the cleaning was “light as a feather,” but the teeth are not clean at all. Teresa is the best of both worlds; great and gentle touch with extremely clean teeth. Here is Teresa to tell you more….
As a child I had always had a positive experience going to the dentist. I have wanted to be a hygienist since I was a little girl. I feel very fortunate to have been able to follow that dream. I was a dental assistant for several years knowing that I wanted to attend dental hygiene school. I have been a hygienist since 2000 and still love my profession. I try to provide a thorough cleaning while also being as gentle as possible. My patients deserve a positive experience similar to what I enjoyed as a child. I am lucky to work in an office where I love everyone I work with. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, to whom I have been married since 2003. We have 2 beautiful boys that are 17 months apart; they keep us on our toes. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives. I hope to be able to talk to you soon (I will try not to do so while I have your mouth open)!
Julie – Hygienist
We are very lucky to have Julie join our team. Julie, Teresa and I worked at the same dental office for several years right after I graduated from dental school. I needed a part time hygienist at Danville Family Dentistry and Julie was able to fill that need. We are very lucky to have Julie on our team. She has a very comfortable touch and she will do a great job cleaning your teeth. Julie has a very easy going and laid back style that is very comforting while sitting in a dental chair. She is a good friend, a wonderful mother and wife, and an even better hygienist. Here is Julie in her own words….
I grew up in the small town of Linton, Indiana, then moved to Plainfield after graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1997. My husband and I have been married since 1997 and are raising two awesome children. Luke and Kylee are the center of our world! Hendricks County is a wonderful community to live in and work. I am very blessed to work with such great friends in a caring, compassionate, and comfortable dental office. It is a joy to go to work at Danville Family Dentistry. My family and I enjoy spending our free time outdoors, hunting, fishing, having a campfire, or watching Luke play sports. I look forward to seeing you in the office and giving the best care possible!
