About Danville Family Dentistry
The Three Pillars of Our Practice Philosophy
Our job is to be a source of information for our patients. We will provide information, answer questions, and let you make decisions for you and your family. To that end, we have incorporated some of the newest technology available. Our digital x-rays and intraoral cameras will help bring you into the treatment planning loop and help you better understand dentistry. This allows you to make educated decisions for your oral health care.
If we treat people right, business will take care of itself. Our intention at Danville Family Dentistry is to “wow” you with our personal care and attention. We will take the time to make sure that you have an unparalleled dental experience.
Caring, compassionate, and professional only begins to describe our team. I can confidently say that the staff at Danville Family Dentistry is top notch. Caring, compassionate, and professional only begins to describe Cody, Julie, Sara and Taylor; it is truly difficult to put into words how great they are. Come in and let us prove it to you!
We want to thank you for allowing us the opportunity to welcome you to our web site and to introduce ourselves and our practice. If we can ever do anything for you or answer any questions, please feel free to contact us. If you prefer, we would be happy to meet you and show you around the office before you schedule your appointment. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible with us and our office. We look forward to meeting you and your family personally.
Dr. Jon Erickson
I was born in Madison, WI. My dad went to UW Madison for grad school so I had no choice… I am a big Badger fan (sorry all of you Hoosier and Boiler fans, but my heart belongs to Bucky!). When I was 5 years old we moved to Batavia, IL, which is about 40 miles west of Chicago. I graduated from Millikin University (Decatur, IL) and met my beautiful wife while I was there. I came to Indianapolis for dental school and lived in Greenwood and Pike township while in school. I graduated in 1999 and worked in the Speedway area during my “rookie” years. I slowly began to shape and form my practice philosophies and understand what I really wanted my dental office to be like. I was always frustrated as a patient when I would go into a medical office, I would walk out, and not really understanding a diagnosis or why treatment was suggested. This concern is the root of our first practice philosophy pillar. I also realized that when a group of people are assembled for a reason (in our case to provide dental service), they are only as good as the worst person in the group. That is why my teammates are so important to me. You can read my personal thoughts on each individual below.
Our family moved to Hendricks County in 2000 and we love it here. I belong to Traders Point Christian Church. My wife, Jennifer, has blessed me with two wonderful children, Courtney and Preston. I have always been a huge soccer fan, but don’t ask me to do too many drills anymore – I’m not as young and in shape as I used to be. That’s me in a nutshell… I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Sara – Patient Care Coordinator
Sara is a delight to work with. She is easy to talk to and easy going. Her job is to be like our quarterback, directing the team to victory; which is to make sure that we are providing an exceptional experience for you. Sara’s professionalism, mixed with her genuine compassion for our patients, and willingness to go above and beyond will make you feel right at home. She is the perfect fit for us and I am so happy to have Sara as the face and voice of Danville Family Dentistry. It is difficult to put into words how much she impacts our office experience…you’ll just have to come and experience Sara for yourself! Here she is to tell you a little bit more about herself…
I have grown up most of my life in Noblesville, Indiana. I moved to Hendricks County when I met my husband several years ago. We are a blended family; I have two fun loving kids of my own and two great step-kids. I spend a lot of my free time working on my love for photography as I have always enjoyed taking pictures outdoors. I found my calling for dentistry in 1998. I was given an opportunity to be a dental assistant and I really enjoyed that. After a year I was offered a position as an insurance coordinator. I loved being able to work closely with the patients in a different way helping them maximize their benefits and helping them find ways to make their dental care affordable. I found even more satisfaction in that role and so I have worked in the front office ever since. I look forward to getting to know every patient at Danville Family Dentistry!
Cody – Dental Assistant
Cody is my right, and sometimes even my left, hand. She is an exceptional assistant with a lot of experience in varying capacities. She has worked in a wide array of office settings and so her knowledge base and clinical skills are hard to beat. She will help me make sure that your experience in our office is exceptional. In order to be a great dentist, they need an assistant that exceeds expectations each and every time. Cody is that assistant for me. We are very blessed to have her on our team. Here is Cody to let you know a little more
I grew up in Hazelwood, Indiana. I moved to Coatsville in 2000 with my wonderful husband. We have three children Brayden, Alexis, and Rylan. My family enjoys being outdoors fishing, hunting, and most sports (my favorite is baseball). I finished dental assisting school in 2000. I have worked in many different dental specialties: Orthodontics for 8 years, Oral Surgery for 5 years, and for the past one and a half years I have been at Riley Hospital in the Pediatric Dental Clinic as an expanded duties dental assistant. Now I am apart of my new family here at Danville Family Dentistry. I enjoy meeting new people and look forward to meeting and caring for you.
Taylor – Hygienist
You will absolutely love Taylor. She is a caring individual with a gentle heart and her work ethic is outstanding. She takes great pride in her work; she loves being a hygienist and it shows daily! There are some skills in life that just cannot be taught; you wither have it or you do not. Being a good hygienist is one of those skills… and Taylor has it! Taylor has a great touch that is gentle, yet effective. She does a great job getting your teeth clean without feeling like you were put through the wringer. We love having Taylor on our team and we know you will too! Here is Taylor to tell you a little more about herself….
Hello! My name is Taylor and I would love to be your hygienist! I received my bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. Ever since I was in middle school I have known I wanted to be a dental hygienist. When I was younger I did not have the greatest and straightest teeth. I did not want to smile or show my teeth. That all changed after I finished my braces! I was more confident in not only my smile, but also in myself. Ever since that experience, I have wanted to help others have similar experiences. I grew up in and reside in Avon. When I am not working I love being active and finding outdoor adventures like going for runs, finding and exploring new parks and towns in Indiana, and just being outdoors. I also love trying new foods and finding new restaurants around Hendricks County. I love the family atmosphere at Danville Family Dentistry and having the time to get to know my patients. I cannot wait to meet you at your next cleaning with us!
Julie – Hygienist
We are very lucky to have Julie join our team. Julie and I worked at the same dental office for several years right after I graduated from dental school. I needed a part time hygienist at Danville Family Dentistry and Julie was able to fill that need. As I stated in Taylor’s bio, you cannot teach someone how to be a great hygienist; they either have the skills and talent or they do not. Most offices are lucky to have one such hygienist. We are lucky enough to have two such team members that were meant to be hygienists. Julie has a very comfortable touch and she will do a great job cleaning your teeth. She is a fantastic hygienist! Julie has a very easy going and laid back style that is very comforting while sitting in a dental chair. She is a good friend, a wonderful mother and wife for her family, and an even better hygienist. Here is Julie in her own words….
I grew up in the small town of Linton, Indiana, then moved to Plainfield after graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1997. My husband and I have been married since 1997 and are raising two awesome children. Luke and Kylee are the center of our world! Hendricks County is a wonderful community to live in and work. I am very blessed to work with such great friends in a caring, compassionate, and comfortable dental office. It is a joy to go to work at Danville Family Dentistry. My family and I enjoy spending our free time outdoors, hunting, fishing, having a campfire, or watching Luke play sports. I look forward to seeing you in the office and giving the best care possible!
